Investors in the United States have shown interest in further exploring investment avenues in the diversified furniture industry in Pakistan, Mian Kashif Ashfaq, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC), told WealthPK. A delegation of PFC led by Mian Kashif is currently on a week-long visit to the US to explore new markets and further strengthen bilateral trade ties with their counterparts, said a press statement received by WealthPK.

Mian Kashif said the PFC is holding successful result-oriented meetings with their counterparts who have shown interest in visiting Pakistan and investing in the furniture industry. He said there is vast scope to increase furniture export volume due to an upward trend, as the demand for furniture and wooden products is on the rise in the US and European markets along with the domestic consumers. “We are making special efforts to increase furniture exports catering to the rising global demand,” he said.Mian Kashif said the delegation studied the latest products and technologies in their fields and invited the US investors to benefit from the huge industry in Pakistan.
