University succeeds in manufacturing green tea from olive leaves

The Agricultural Department of Bacha Khan University (BKU), Charsadda's Agronomy Division has succeeded in manufacturing green tea from olive leaves. Prof. Wajid Ali Khan stated that the experiments to make green tea from olive leaves were started almost two years ago and finally succeeded. Chairman of Agronomy Department Dr. Iftikhar Alam, Dr. Ikram Ullah, Attaullah Jan, scholars, and students were also present during the special ceremony to celebrate the achievement.
Prof. Wajid said that the tests were carried out in order to give diabetes and blood pressure sufferers affordable, effective, and curative medicine. According to Dr. Iftikhar Alam, the PhD and MPhil students have been tasked with conducting more study on olive tea and its advantages in order to raise the calibre of this miraculous beverage.
