Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Chairman Mamoon Jaffar Tarar stated that the authority is continuing to focus on industry-driven courses to produce a workforce that is easily available for all pertinent industries. He was speaking at a gathering for the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Association of Printing & Graphic Arts Industry (PAPGAI). Outlining the specifics of the MoU, he said that TEVTA would arrange industry demand-driven courses for the printing and graphic art industry, besides the course location, instructors, and infrastructure.
PAPGAI would pay the students Rs10,000 as a stipend for work training, he added. He further stated that the course will initially be launched as a trial initiative before being expanded. The Civil Society Human and Institutional Development Programme (CHIP) would provide courses for special young people and find special children ten kilometres around TEVTA institutes.
