KABUL, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Taliban members carrying weapons have been seen on the streets of Kabul since Monday after the group gained control of the Afghan capital.
While Afghan residents hoped for a better future with uncertainty on the first relatively "peaceful" day after more than 20 years' war, the international world are closely watching and reacting toward the unfolding situation there.
