PM’s coordinator urges youth to promote Pak-China friendship

Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Industries Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan has urged the new generation to maintain the time-tested strong friendship between Pakistan and China. He was speaking as the chief guest at the Inter-University Speech Competition organised by the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS) on "Knowing Contemporary China" at Preston University.

Rana Ihsan advised young people to make the most of their time, look for opportunities for personal development, and learn from the visionary leaders and wisdom of China. He touched upon the close and cordial ties between Pakistan and China and said Pakistan has a lot to learn from China in advancing science and technology and revitalising the economy.

IPDS President Farhat Asif said the objective of organizing the speech competition amongst the university students is to promote an understanding of contemporary China and encourage the youth to make Pakistan-China bilateral ties stronger. The participants were given subtopics on the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Pakistan-China Relations, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the Global Development Initiative.
