Islamabad, February 14 (INP): After a recent successful visit to China, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has met with senior journalists and think tank representatives, including former Ambassadors.
The meeting was highlighted by local and foreign media, according to Gwadar Pro.
While talking on the occasion, Imran Khan said that the recent visit to China was of utmost importance in view of the changing world scenario.
The Prime Minister also said during the meeting that Pakistan and China have set the direction of strategic partnership and are pursuing closer ties in various fields, including BRI flagship project CPEC. He further stressed that the iron-brothers relationship between both countries has become even stronger since his recent visit to China.
The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in the opening remarks of the meeting that he would pay another important visit to China in March when he would be discussing important issues and a few of them have already been settled for foreign affairs talks with China on the issues of Afghanistan.
China-Pak- Afghan Trilateral relations will be further strengthened so that progress can be made towards resolving various issues Afghanistan is facing, said FO Qureshi.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi further told that during his recent visit to China, the Pakistani delegation had about 20 meetings in Beijing on Chinese investments soon coming to Pakistan.
He also urged by informing the meeting participants that the recent visit to China has removed the impression of suspensions on CPEC ongoing projects in Pakistan.
