ISLAMABAD, Jan 12 (INP): Leading political and social figure of Haripur Muhammad Azam Khan Tareen has urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to take immediate steps to make the country a welfare state.
Azam Khan Tareen in a statement issued here on Wednesday, said that Haripur district should be given the status of Cantt Area and transportation facilities should be developed here by constructing an international standard airport and flyovers so that the area could reach new heights of construction and development. ,
He demanded of the federal government to provide the best health and education facilities to the people and said that eradication of unemployment and provision of employment to the youth according to their ability is essential for the development of the country.
Azam Khan Tareen said the government can achieve self-sufficiency in meeting the food needs of the country by paying special attention to the agriculture sector. It is in the national interest to establish good relations with Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, he added.
He urged the government and opposition political parties in the country, especially the local political leadership, including Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Omar Ayub Khan, Provincial Minister for Irrigation Arshad Ayub Khan, Member of Provincial Assembly Akbar Ayub Khan, former provincial minister Yousuf Ayub Khan, Senator Talha Mahmood, former parliamentarians Qazi Muhammad Asad and Dr Raja Amir, Faisal Zaman and former Speaker Habibullah Khan Tareen to take joint efforts for the reconstruction and development of the country and improvement of Haripur district.
It should be noted that Muhammad Azam Khan Tareen, who started his political and social struggle from the platform of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, belongs to the most political family. He was born in Darwish on October 12, 1963. He did BBA from Peshawar University. His father late Muhammad Salim Khan Advocate remained member of Member of Public Service Commission in West Pakistan while his father-in-law, the late Major Muhammad Yusuf, served in the Pakistan Army.
Azam Khan Tareen's uncle late Khan Abdul Rehman Khan was a former ambassador of Pakistan while his second uncle Khawaja Muhammad Khan was a member of West Pakistan Assembly.
Azam Khan Tareen is also associated with Amnesty International. Azam Khan Tareen is a member of Darul Uloom Chauhar Sharif and Vice President of Darul Uloom Bhairah Sharif. She has extensive experience working in Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Islamabad Stock Exchange.
