The exports of pharmaceutical goods witnessed an increase of 32.37% during the first seven months (July-January) of the current fiscal year (2022-23) compared to the corresponding period of last fiscal year, WealthPK reported. According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan exported pharmaceutical products worth $205.138 million during July-January FY23 compared to the exports of $154.973 million during the corresponding period of FY22.
In terms of quantity, the exports of pharmaceutical goods also rose by 104.67% from 16,718 metric tons to 34,217 metric tons. On a year-on-year (YoY) basis, the pharmaceutical products increased by 77.19% during January 2023 compared to the same month of last year. Pharmaceutical exports during January 2023 were recorded at $30.114 million against the exports of $16.996 million during January 2022, the PBS data shows. On month-on-month (MoM) basis, the exports of pharmaceutical goods decreased by 3.41% during January 2023 compared to $31.176 million during December 2022.
