The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) infrastructure in Peshawar and Charsadda is making steady progress, with approved schemes in Peshawar reaching 60% physical progress and those in Charsadda 51%.

According to a document available with Wealth Pakistan, the summary covers gas schemes approved for Peshawar and Charsadda districts during FY2013-2026.

In Peshawar, a total of 10 schemes covering 912.69 kilometres have been approved at a total cost of Rs2,731.10 million. Physical progress across these schemes stands at 543.33 kilometres, or 60%.

Five of 10 schemes in Peshawar have been completed, covering a total length of 216.63 kilometres and carrying a total cost of Rs619.31 million. The document records their physical progress at 100%, covering 201.68 kilometres.

Another five schemes in Peshawar remain ongoing, covering 696.06 kilometres at a total cost of Rs2,111.79 million. Physical progress on the ongoing schemes stands at 341.65 kilometres, or 49%.

For Peshawar as a whole, the total sanctioned amount stands at Rs1,898.60 million, covering a network of 605.19 kilometres. Government funds released are recorded at Rs586.51 million.

In Charsadda, nine gas supply schemes covering a total length of 886.22 kilometres have been approved at an overall cost of Rs2,675.70 million.

Physical progress across the Charsadda schemes has reached 454.37 kilometres, equivalent to 51%.

Two schemes in the district have already been completed, covering 26.62 kilometres at a total cost of Rs75.63 million. Their physical progress is recorded at 100%, covering 22.33 kilometres.

Seven schemes remain ongoing in Charsadda, covering 859.59 kilometres at a total cost of Rs2,600.07 million. Physical progress on these schemes has reached 432.04 kilometres, or 50%.

The sanctioned amount for Charsadda stands at Rs2,621.90 million, covering a network of 715.74 kilometres, while government funds released are recorded at Rs179.55 million.

The document also shows a balance network of 292.95 kilometres in Peshawar and 166.20 kilometres in Charsadda, as work on the remaining schemes continues.
