Pakistani team Brainiacs in the “Seeds for Future Program 2022” stood first among a host of other teams from Pakistan, Italy and Croatia for their Tech4Good project. “Seeds for Future Program 2022” is an HEC-Huawei venture which trains and funds undergraduate students from Pakistan and other countries in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and related products.

This year 47 students successfully participated in the eight-day training program. In the last seven years, around 130 students have been selected for the trainings in ICT technologies and around 55 of them had been sent to China for trainings in culture and advanced ICT skills. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the trainings had discontinued in-person. The trainings continued online during the course of the pandemic.

For this year’s trainings, Higher Education Commission (HEC) selected 47 students from various universities across the country. The training program this year offered undergraduate students a rich experience involving technology courses (5G, Cloud, AI etc.), a leadership course, Chinese cultural experiences, a live visit to the tech exhibition hall, participation in the “Tech4Good” group project and culture exchanges with outstanding peers from around the world.
