ISLAMABAD, April 04 (INP-WealthPK): The Pakistan Railways has officially launched several e-services to facilitate day-to-day business affairs for its consumers and employees, reports WealthPK.
The e-services include Mobile application (developed and deployed Android/IOS based mobile applications available to the public to undergo reservations through mobile phone), journalist data management system, networking monitoring system, provision of internet facilities at different levels, establishment of backup & recovery site, upgradation of IT infrastructure, e-ticketing system, onboard ticketing application, railways earning monitoring system, email server, web-based asset management, court case monitoring system, and e-office. The e-services will not only provide better access to the rail instruments but also ensure the ease of doing business, says a research conducted by WealthPK.

The PR has also rolled out various web and mobile applications, which will be used in real-time. These applications are payroll, legal, fuel/freight, PR dashboard, railway land, railway leased land portal, human resource management information system (HRMIS), designated rail corridor (DRC), railways project automation system (RPMS), task tracking, ticketing app, material accounting system (MAS), and MAS App.

In addition, Railways Minister Muhammad Azam Khan Swati said all the information and data related to the PR land –168,858 acres – was digitalized and available at the fingertips.
Lastly, those e-services will bring about more efficient and enhanced services to the consumers, better access to public services, and more transparency and accountability of the ministry.
