The government has launched a new Dynamic Data Dashboard to enhance real-time availability of information, strengthen monitoring mechanisms and support evidence-based decision-making across development sectors. According to the Monthly Development Update for November 2025 issued by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, the dashboard has been introduced to promote transparency, improve accessibility and boost public engagement by consolidating key economic and development indicators on a single digital platform.
The report states that the Dynamic Data Dashboard has been developed to provide timely and accurate data to policymakers, researchers, analysts and citizens. The platform features interactive visualisations, comparative tools and regularly updated datasets that help track progress on major economic indicators and development initiatives. According to the document, the system aims to improve data utilisation within government institutions while offering the public reliable and accessible information.
The Monthly Development Update notes that the dashboard is intended to close information gaps and streamline access to official datasets. It includes data on macroeconomic performance, development spending, sector-wise progress, project performance and key social indicators. By enabling real-time access to these metrics, the dashboard is expected to improve monitoring of ongoing programs and support timely corrective measures where needed.
In addition to the dashboard, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) launched a separate interactive data portal on World Statistics Day. According to the report, the PBS portal features improved access to national statistics, visualisations and analytical tools. The combined availability of both platforms is expected to strengthen the country’s statistical ecosystem and enable users to explore data in a more dynamic and user-friendly manner.
The document states that the Ministry of Planning continued project monitoring and evaluation throughout October and exceeded its monthly targets. A total of 22 development projects were monitored against a target of 19, while seven were evaluated against a target of eight. The report notes that digital tools such as the Dynamic Data Dashboard will further support monitoring efforts by providing consolidated, up-to-date information.
The dashboard is part of a broader government effort to improve governance, enhance transparency and strengthen accountability in public sector operations. According to the Monthly Development Update, it will assist federal ministries, provincial departments and development partners by offering easy access to verified data, budget information and project progress metrics. The report emphasises that accurate and timely data is essential for improving project implementation and ensuring development spending aligns with national priorities.
The document further notes that the launch of the dashboard complements ongoing reforms in public investment management, procurement systems and financial monitoring tools. These improvements aim to modernise governance structures, address inefficiencies and support the government’s broader development agenda. The dashboard is expected to help identify implementation bottlenecks earlier, improve outcome tracking and promote a more coordinated institutional approach to development planning.
According to the Monthly Development Update, enhanced data accessibility is also viewed as a key step toward building public trust. By making economic and development information widely available, the government aims to raise public awareness of national initiatives and encourage greater engagement with development priorities. The report concludes that the Dynamic Data Dashboard marks a major advancement in digital governance.
By offering a central source of real-time development and economic data, the platform is expected to improve transparency, reinforce institutional efficiency and strengthen the overall monitoring and evaluation framework. The Ministry of Planning notes that the dashboard will continue to evolve, adding new features and updated indicators to support evidence-based policymaking and public information needs.
