Kingdom is working to organize an annual summit for the Middle East Green Initiative: Saudi Crown Prince

Jeddah, April 21 (INP) Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has made a phone call to President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China. During the call, they reviewed the Saudi Green Initiative and the Middle East Green Initiative to face environmental challenges in the region and their contribution to achieving global objectives to combat climate change in addition to the initiatives' influential roles in raising the quality of life in the region and the world. HRH Crown Prince pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is working to organize an annual summit for the Middle East Green Initiative in the presence of leaders and officials of the environmental field, stressing that China will be a major partner in the initiative. For his part, President Xi Jinping expressed his country's support for the two initiatives, emphasizing the importance of supporting these initiatives by the international community. HRH Crown Prince and Chinese President also reviewed aspects of Saudi-Chinese relations, fields of bilateral cooperation and ways to develop them in various sectors.
