A Japanese global recruiting company official met Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sajid Hussain and discussed the scope of human resource export from different sectors of Pakistan to Japan, especially the Information Technology (IT) professionals.
Ms. Wakako Sakurai, founder and chief executive officer of Plus-W during the meeting said that her company was striving for human resources in the IT sector for employment in Japan, said a statement received by WealthPK. It was decided at the meeting that the ministry and the Plus-W would help IT professionals for better career prospects in Japan, which would also strengthen the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Japan.
Ms. Sakurai apprised the minister of the establishment of Plus-W back in 2020 aimed at placing human resources in different sectors of the Japanese economy, especially in the IT sector.
The company began its liaison coordination with Pakistani stakeholders in 2021. It signed a memorandum of understanding with the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) to open a Japan Centre at NUST, for the future possibility of enhancing IT professionals’ job placement in Japan, according to the statement.
Ms. Sakurai acknowledged the services rendered by the ministry for manpower migration to different destinations including Japan.
The minister applauded the efforts of the Japanese company for enhancing the migration of IT professionals to Japan. He pledged support of his ministry and its attached organizations especially the Overseas Employment Corporation, where the Plus-W showed intention to establish a business centre for IT professionals.
Sajid Turi informed Sakurai about the state-of-the-art data bank maintained by Overseas Employment Corporation, a manpower promotion agency working under his ministry.
