RIYADH, March 22 (INP):The Director of the General Presidency for Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque (GPH), his eminence ash-Shaykh 'Abdur-Rahmaan ibn 'Abdil-'Azeez as-Sudays (PhD), has received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Sunday at King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC) in Makkah al-Mukarramah. The Director of GPH, during taking the vaccine, commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in providing the vaccines and to be one of the earliest countries in seeking to provide and give the vaccine for all citizens and residents without charge. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed ibn Salman (may Allaah bless them) are keen to apply precautionary measures and to use all human and financial resources for the safety of all since the start of the pandemic which led (by Allaah success and aid) to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia one the least affected countries by the economic and social consequences of the global Coronavirus. As-Sudays also commended the high professionalism for the health staff in KAMC in which the procedures for receiving the vaccine were easily carried out in a short period. He noted the good organizing, integrated work and full application for precautionary measures. As-Sudays highlighted the great efforts of staff in Ministry of Health in providing professional medical services at high levels from quality and keen to adapt with the aspirations of wise leadership (may Allaah bless it). The wise leadership is aiming to provide vaccines in all the Kingdom regions and achieve social immunity through vaccination campaigns which will make the return of normal life faster. As-Sudays concluded by beseeching Allaah to protect and support our leaders. Make them exalt the Islamic community and make them success in what Allaah loves and satisfies Him. May Allaah reward them the best reward for their great efforts in preventing the global pandemic and limit its consequences for the society.
