Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali has convinced the province's traders and business sector to adhere to the federal government's energy-saving strategy by assuring them that gas and power-related concerns would be given priority attention. At a meeting with traders and businesspeople, the governor implored them to contribute to getting the country out of its current predicament. He said that whenever the nation experienced hardship, the business sector and traders took the initiative to make things better.

The governor praised the businesspeople and traders for their full cooperation in carrying out the government's power-saving strategy. The governor said he anticipated that traders and businesspeople would close their businesses in accordance with the federal government's plan for energy conservation.

Haji Ghulam Ali anticipated that the traders' community would be able to rescue the country from its current predicament with the same fervour and enthusiasm. He informed the group that a representative committee will be established to speak with the federal government about the views and ideas put forth by the businesspeople.

He acknowledged that the province was currently experiencing a flour shortage and promised to get in touch with the chief ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to resolve the issue for the benefit of the general populace. He said that he will do his part to quickly end the needless prohibition on the movement of flour from Punjab to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The governor received assurances from the businesspeople and dealers that they would adhere to the timetable of businesses closing at 8:00 p.m. However, senior chamber leaders urged a relaxation in the schedule of business shutdown beginning in March, as they presented their recommendations. They also offered suggestions for resolving the existing flour shortages, price increases, poor gas pressure, and man-made inflation. The businesspeople said that Governor Haji Ghulam Ali was a genuine representative of the federal government and that the whole business sector was supporting him in his efforts to organise the province's affairs.
