Financial stability linked to agricultural exports: NA speaker

Pakistan's agricultural exports, particularly those of rice, are the foundation of its financial stability, said Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, speaker of the National Assembly (NA).
Addressing at a ceremony of the Pakistani Rice Exporters Association, he said that encouraging measures for farmers can help increase agricultural growth.
According to the NA speaker, Pakistan's agricultural goods, especially the rice they produce, are famous for their high quality around the world. As a result, he stated, exporters of rice have a significant role to play in the economic stability of the country.
In order to increase Pakistan's agricultural exports, he suggested introducing a new variety of rice and asked agricultural scientists to promote the innovation.
Ali Hussain Asghar, the chairman of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan, thanked the speaker for attending the event. The chairman said rice exporters would continue to strive to increase Pakistan's exports.
