Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Ishaq Dar has stated that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 527.2 billion in February 2023 to meet its revenue goal. Compared to the amount collected during the same month in the previous year (2021-22), the revenues increased by 17%.
According to him, the FBR has collected a total of Rs 4,493 billion in the first eight months of the current fiscal year compared to Rs 3,820 billion in the same time last year, an increase of 18%. The third quarter of the current fiscal year has seen FBR continue to perform well, demonstrating its dedication to meeting an upwardly revised annual budgeted revenue target of Rs 7,640 billion despite economic headwinds, he added.
