 Sialkot can establish its prominence and solidify its position as a premier hub for high-quality football products by creating a distinct brand identity, extensive market research, partnerships, digital presence, international trade participation, and sustainable practices. Secretary General of Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturing and Exporters Association (PSGMEA) Mohsin Masood expressed these views while talking to WealthPK.

He said Sialkot city of Pakistan has earned a well-deserved reputation as a global hub for manufacturing high-quality football products. “However, to propel its football products to new global heights, Sialkot must now focus on adopting effective branding and marketing strategies. By doing so, Sialkot can strengthen its market presence, and establish itself as a prominent player in the global football industry,” he said. “With right branding and marketing approach, Sialkot can showcase its unparalleled expertise and captivate a worldwide audience of football enthusiasts,” he added.

Sialkot has been producing renowned high-quality footballs, shoes, and apparel. The city has successfully supplied millions of products to renowned international brands and sports leagues. “Collaboration with renowned international football clubs, leagues, or individual players can significantly enhance brand visibility and raise the profile of Sialkot's football products,” he added. Partnerships can include sponsorships, endorsements, and joint marketing campaigns, which enable manufacturers to leverage the reputation and fan base of established entities.

He emphasised that establishing a robust online presence through websites, social media platforms, and e-commerce platforms can help Sialkot manufacturers showcase their football products, engage with customers, and expand their distribution channels. Additionally, adopting content marketing strategies like blogging, vlogging, and search engine optimisation can increase brand visibility and reach wider markets.

Mohsin was of the view that incorporating eco-friendly and sustainable practices in manufacturing processes can enhance the reputation and appeal of Sialkot's football products in the global market. Promoting ethical manufacturing, fair labour practices, and environment-friendly initiatives can attract socially conscious consumers and organisations, further elevating the brand's image.
