Chinese power tools and tiles have brought a revolution of innovation, elegance and beauty in the construction sector of Faisalabad. Javeed Kamal, an architect, told WealthPK that the construction sector in Faisalabad and other parts of the country had witnessed a remarkable transformation, thanks to high-quality Chinese tiles and advanced power tools. “Chinese tiles are elegant, stylish and affordable as against the locally-sourced tiles,” he said. “As an architect, I have observed a visible evolution in the construction sector owing to the dynamic combination of advanced tools and material used for the building facades,” he said. He said the assorted styles of Chinese tiles were adding to the beauty and elegance of buildings. Earlier, people used to paint the facades but now the pattern is changing due to the presence of moisture or water seepage into the walls. “Every year, the owners have to spend a hefty amount to give a new look to the facade due to the damp walls but nowadays they are using Chinese tiles to save money and time,” he added.

Haji Ismail, a trader, told WealthPK that a wide range of designs of different materials were available in the local market, which were sufficient to cater to the needs of the customers. The majority of the people prefer tiles for flooring and walls. Marble is good for flooring due to its thickness and strength, while tiles are perfect for walls, he added. Shedding light on the importance of Chinese tools, Javed Kamal said without integrating advanced tools into the daily work routine, one could not perform efficiently. He said scores of advanced tools like compactors, concrete vibrator shaft, dewatering pump, mobile mixers, digital theodolite, double drum roller, mini lifter, plate compactor, and power trowels had transformed the construction work. “We used to hire scores of laborers to compact the ground but now this task is done by a single tool. You can say that Chinese tools are an indispensable part of the construction industry and Faisalabad is no exception.”
