ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (INP) Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises in Lahore held New Year Friendship Associating Party, according to China Economic Net (CEN).
In the past two years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most Chinese enterprises in Pakistan have chosen to stay in the country.
The party enabled the Chinese enterprises in Pakistan to spend a happy and peaceful Spring Festival, to establish communication channels, exchange of information, mutual benefit and mutual assistance for more Chinese enterprises in Pakistan, to contribute to the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Pak-China friendship.
In his video messages, Mr Peng Zhengwu, Acting Consul General, Chinese Consulate General in Lahore expressed appreciation for the efforts and dedication of Chinese SMEs in Pakistan, and hoped that they would continue to strive for new progress in Pak-China relations in the new year.
As the backbone of the country, SMEs are one of the largest and the most important sectors of Pakistan’s economy. In recent years, with the deepening of the construction of CPEC, the exchanges between private enterprises have become increasingly close, to which SMEs have also contributed a lot. Many Pakistani employees have obtained stable jobs and technical skills in Chinese SMEs.
Although the recent epidemic in Pakistan is still severe, 100% of the Chinese staff have been vaccinated and have been effectively protected by working with their Pakistani colleagues to manage and control the epidemic.
During the event, representatives of enterprises sang and performed one after another, expressing their yearning for the motherland and hometown with Chinese songs. Pakistani friends performed folk dances and sang the Chinese song “Jasmine”, which pushed the atmosphere of the event to a climax.
