Chinese shares close mixed Friday

BEIJING, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.05 percent, at 3,083.79 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.17 percent higher at 10,656.41 points.
