The exports of canvas footwear surged by 414.02% during the first four months of the fiscal year 2022–23 compared to the same period the previous year, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. Canvas footwear worth US$ 293,000 were exported during July 2022 to October 2022, compared to US$ 57,000 during the same period of last year.

Leather footwear exports climbed by 31.61% year on year, totalling US$51,234,000 against US$38,929,000 during the same period the previous year. Other footwear exports climbed by 26.12% during the period under review, totalling US$ 11,000,000 against US$ 8,722,000 during the same period the previous year.
