Businessmen of RCCI invited to invest in Gwadar

Gwadar is going to be a game changer as it will improve the living conditions of the people in not only Baluchistan but also the whole country. Gwadar is a strategic resource that Pakistan is developing for the long-term sustenance of the country.

The statement was made by the Director General of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Mujibur Rehman Qambrani. He was visiting the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to invite businessmen to come and invest in Gwadar. He told them water issues in Gwadar had been resolved by laying pipelines to the city from the near-by dams.

“The water purification plant and desalination plant will also be completed in the spring of 2023. This will help in using the sea-water for domestic purposes. Gwadar International Airport will be operational before the fall of 2023,” he told the RCCI.

He came prepared with a detailed presentation to be given to the members of RCCI to invite them to invest in Gwadar. He told them that missing out on this opportunity will cost in billions to those who will not take the train on time. He told them of the development works currently being undertaken by the government in Gwadar with help from China. He told them to make plans for joint ventures with international companies which will come to Gwadar soon.

He was informed by the President of RCCI Saqib Rafiq that RCCI will seriously consider the proposals put forward by the DG. He said businessmen from Rawalpindi are looking for opportunities to invest and Gwadar is the perfect answer. He also apprised the DG about the current activities of the members of the RCCI.

He also told him that “RCCI is the only chamber in the country which has organized the Gwadar Conference and All Pakistan Chambers Presidents Conference to highlight investment opportunities in Gwadar. The business community considered China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a game-changer, which is going to open pathways for Pakistani products to reach the markets of Central Asia and Europe through Gwadar.”
