The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has deployed 25 Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs) to register eligible citizens on the doorstep in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

According to a document available with Wealth Pakistan, the MRVs have been deployed to improve coverage of vulnerable populations across the country. Sixteen MRVs have been deployed in Balochistan, five in Sindh, three in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and one in Islamabad.

The BISP transformed beneficiary registration into a continuous process in February 2023 through the Dynamic NSER system, replacing periodic nationwide surveys with ongoing data updates through 647 Dynamic Registration Centres (DRCs) established at tehsil level.

The National Socio-Economic Registry database currently contains socio-economic data of over 38.7 million households nationwide, serving as a key mechanism for identifying and targeting beneficiaries under the BISP’s social protection programmes.

The mobile registration initiative is designed to strengthen outreach by bringing registration services closer to citizens and ensuring that eligible households in remote regions can update their information and access programme facilities.

The number of new beneficiaries registered under BISP since 2024 has also been compiled, with detailed figures provided in official annexures.
