BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Beijing has reported higher industrial production in 2019, according to the Municipal Bureau of Statistics.
The value-added industrial output of major enterprises increased by 3.1 percent year on year at comparable prices.
Among the total, the growth rate of computers, telecommunications and other electronic equipment manufacturing was 9.9 percent, that of the power and heating sectors was 8.2 percent and that for pharmaceutical manufacturing was 6.2 percent, according to the bureau.
Automobile manufacturing registered an annual growth of 2.7 percent, despite the sluggish market.
The business revenue of major industrial enterprises surpassed 1.94 trillion yuan (about 282.9 billion U.S. dollars), an increase of 3 percent year on year. ■
