Aruj Industries Limited’s revenue declined 8% to Rs980 million in the nine months of FY22 compared with Rs1.062 billion in the corresponding period of the last financial year. 

The gross profit registered a decrease of 17% during the nine months of FY22, standing at Rs83.9 million as against Rs100.6 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company posted a net profit of Rs8.6 million during the nine months of FY22 compared to a profit of Rs20.5 million in the corresponding period of last year, showing a massive negative growth of 58% year-on-year, reports WealthPK.

During 2021, the company maintained a strong sales trend, generating a revenue of Rs1.3 billion over Rs1.1 billion in 2020, posting an increase of 19% year-on-year.  

The gross profit for FY21 stood at Rs141 million, 6% down from a profit of Rs149 million in FY20. The profit-after-taxation for the year reached Rs13.3 million, higher by a striking 27% than Rs10.5 million in FY20.

The earnings per share (EPS) stood positive between 2018 and 2021. The EPS decreased from Rs1.26 in 2019 to Rs1.0 in 2020; however, it jumped again to Rs1.27 in 2021.

Established in 1992, Aruj Industries Limited is a public limited business that trades on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The company's main business activities include the production of fusible interlining and dyeing, bleaching, and sewing of fabrics.

The company’s apparel section focuses on producing fashionable clothing (both denim and non-denim) and distributing goods to markets in the United States, the United Kingdom, and other European countries.

The narrow-width fabric employed by the manufacturers of woven clothing is a specialty of the dyeing division. Cotton, cotton stretch, cotton polyester, and polyester stretch fabrics are all processed by the dyeing division. Reactive dyeing, disperse dyeing, pigment dyeing, and sulfur dyeing are all done there.

Cotton and polyester cotton are produced by the interlining division in weights ranging from 115 to 350 grams per square meter (gsm). Keir bleach, single desize, finishing, drying, coating equipment, calendars, and rolling are all offered by the interlining division.
